Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 November 2026

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Columbịa is a service operated by humanindloop, which is based in Nigeria ("humanindloop", "we", "us" or "our"). Columbịa sends a daily professional briefing for your field by email, and gives you a web account where you manage your subscription.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and us. By creating an account, or by using Columbịa, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use Columbịa.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must give us accurate information when you sign up, including a working email address, and keep it up to date.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Please tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used your account. You can log out of every device from your account page.

3. The service

Each day, at the hour you choose (Lagos time), Columbịa sends you two emails: an update on your field, and a list of opportunities within it. Each email includes a Nigeria segment and a global segment. You can change your delivery hour from your account page, up to three times in each calendar month.

We program Columbịa to send only content that is verified, tested and trusted. Delivery depends on email providers and networks outside our control, so we cannot promise that every email will arrive at the exact time chosen, or that it will not be filtered into a spam folder. We may improve, change, suspend or discontinue features from time to time, and we will give reasonable notice of any change that materially reduces what you have paid for.

Columbịa is currently available in Nigeria only. Other countries will have their own terms and prices when they open.

4. Free trial

New accounts receive a free trial of 21 days. You are not charged during the trial, and we do not ask for payment details to start it. When the trial ends, your emails stop unless you subscribe. One trial is offered for each person and each email address.

5. Price and payment

After the trial, access to Columbịa costs ₦7,000 per month, excluding Paystack fees. Paystack's processing fee is added at checkout, and you will see the full amount payable on the Paystack payment page before you confirm. Prices are in Nigerian naira.

You pay by selecting Subscribe on your account page. Payments are processed by Paystack. We do not see or store your card details. Each payment gives you 30 days of access, starting when the payment is confirmed. If you pay again before your access ends, the new 30 days are added to the time you have left. We do not charge you automatically: your access ends after 30 days unless you pay again.

We may change our prices. Any change will apply only to payments made after the change takes effect, and we will give you notice of it before then.

6. Refunds

Because access begins as soon as payment is confirmed, payments are not refunded except where the law requires a refund. This does not affect any rights you have as a consumer under Nigerian law.

7. Cancelling

You may cancel at any time from your account page, or by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send you. Cancelling stops all further emails. It does not refund the current paid period. If you change your mind later, you can come back by subscribing again from your account page.

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, misuse Columbịa, or use it unlawfully. Where reasonably possible we will tell you why first.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to resell, republish or redistribute Columbịa content to others; to copy it in bulk, scrape it, or use it to build a competing service; to interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to Columbịa or its systems; or to use Columbịa for any unlawful purpose.

9. Intellectual property

The Columbịa service, its design, name and logo, and the selection and arrangement of its content belong to us or our licensors. Headlines and extracts from news and other sources remain the property of their owners. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to read the emails we send you, for your own professional use. All other rights are reserved.

10. Information only, not advice

Columbịa provides news, updates and opportunity listings for information only. It is not professional, legal, medical, financial or investment advice, and you should not rely on it as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Opportunities are listed by third parties. Please check each opportunity with the provider before you act on it, and never pay money to secure an opportunity without first confirming that it is genuine. Columbịa content may link to or refer to third-party sites, which we do not control and for which we are not responsible.

11. Disclaimers

We take care in preparing Columbịa, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always complete or current. To the fullest extent the law permits, Columbịa is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we exclude all warranties that the law allows us to exclude.

12. Limit of our liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Nigerian law, including your rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, opportunity or reputation arising from your use of Columbịa or your reliance on its content. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from Columbịa is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date and, where a change is material, tell you by email before it takes effect. If you continue to use Columbịa after the change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you may cancel at any time.

14. Contact

You can contact us by replying to any Columbịa email, or by writing to humanintheloop26@gmail.com.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint or dispute, please write to us first at the address in section 14. We will acknowledge it promptly and work with you in good faith to resolve it, and we ask that you give us 30 days to do so before starting any formal proceedings. If we cannot resolve it, either of us may bring the matter before the courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria. Nothing in this section limits your right to complain to a consumer protection authority, or any other right you have under Nigerian consumer law.
